How calculator submissions, server logs, cookies and external links are handled.
Marks entered into calculators
Calculations run during the page request. The site does not create user accounts, save student names or retain submitted marks in a database.
Server logs
The hosting provider may keep ordinary technical logs containing information such as the requested page, time, browser details and IP address. These logs are used for security and fault diagnosis.
Usage analytics
The site keeps simple first-party usage counts so we can see which pages and calculator features are useful. It records events such as a page view, calculator submission or use of the improvement planner, together with broad information such as device type and the referring website hostname.
We do not set analytics cookies. The analytics log does not store names, marks entered into calculators, email addresses, full referring URLs, raw IP addresses or full browser user-agent strings. We do not send analytics data to a third-party analytics provider.
