What the answer means
The calculation scales the raw component marks using the official weighting, then compares that weighted total with the qualification boundary. Empty components supply the remaining weighted marks. The recent-range view repeats the calculation using June 2024, June 2025, June 2026.
If you choose Student / self-marked, the calculator also tests 90% of the marks you entered. That gives you a more cautious planning range when mark-scheme interpretation is uncertain; it isn't a measured error rate for you.
